Chief Technical Officer at Patch Penguin
JAMIE WOODRUFF IS ONE OF THE HIGHEST RANKED
LEGALISED HACKERS IN THE WORLD.
Diagnosed with autism, dyslexia & dyspraxia and started computer hacking at the age of 9. However, this hasn’t stopped him from being commissioned internationally by blue chip companies from finding security loopholes, known as vulnerabilities, within their computer networks, websites and servers.
Jamie has found vulnerabilities in infamous applications such as, Facebook, YouTube, Twitter, Apple, Google and many more as well as helping build and co-ordinate new and innovate projects that could potentially change the cyber world. Jamie is what is described as a poacher turned game keeper – a grey hat turned white hat, to help companies fight against cyber-attacks and keep their systems safe, with this comes much media coverage and using this to his advantage, he has a book coming out this year and is taking part in
numerous commissioned TV documentaries this year.
He has been cited and published in many articles and assisted investigators on cases such as the Ashley Madison case in the USA and has also assisted on the shocking Paris attacks.
In his spare time Jamie likes to research and use social engineering, not only as a hobby, but to use in his job as a CPTE (Certified Penetration Testing Engineer). By using human manipulation methods and exploitation techniques, Jamie can infiltrate his clients; companies, media organisations and various businesses. This can be shown by his “Impersonation as a Domino’s pizza delivery boy” at a large financial institution and gaining access to their server room via lock picking.
Jamie is a young ethical hacker and has been praised around the world for his methodologies in gaining access to some of the worlds most secure areas with use of his social engineering methods and mastermind, all ethical of course. He is well known for speaking at high profile events with government officials attending both from the security and private sector to listen and learn from his knowledge and experience.
Jamie believes we should all think independently and not follow current trends or patterns. This behaviour in people often causes our weaknesses to be highlighted and exploited within our modern society. Jamie has participated in numerous radio, TV, newspaper and magazine projects around the world and is an excellent talker and would grace any TV production.
